One of the major differences will be a three phase structure. This will include a Preliminary Qualifying Team Requirement, a Regional Round Robin Competition, and a Final World Championship Playoff. I will be opening discussions on all of these aspects and more over the next few weeks. Please feel free to ask questions and make suggestions, just please stick to the topic being covered, and we will eventually get to everything. Thanks in advance for helping to make this the largest and best Total War competition on the planet. Salute!

The week following I will putting together all presented so far, and learned since the announcement above, into one statement. The basic format I am considering is as follows: Community Code of Conduct Qualifying for Competition Regional Preliminary Contests World Championship Playoffs Contest Management Regulations In-Game Contest Rules If you have any questions or thoughts not yet spoken, on any of these topics or others concerning the upcoming competition, now and here is where to present them. To my immediate recollection there are three issues outstanding. Fergusons WB Jaegers - 1 unit of each allowed? Maps - Lordz pack 3v3 maps or Finland? DLC - Special Forces and Elite Units of the West to allow or limit? Anything else, claim it now!

Please oh please don't use the Lordz maps....Finlands perfectly fine and offers the tactical diversity Empire needs instead of maps which favours rushers - naming no names Also in the next patch there is going to be a global unit cap which the host can set - i.e a max 4 means a maximum of 4 of anything. Granted it would be better if you could select individual units to ban but this global thing could work. If the next patch is out by the time CWC starts you could think about adding a max "x" unit rule. All in all we're gonna have to wait and see what the next patch brings before consolidating the rules.

We can come up with a set to play according to what we have, with the understanding that any subsequent upgrade will require reevaluation, and a period of player adjustment. But we can not wait on CA for anything, as they may stall or even fail to complete (maps as an example). When does next patch show up? I guess that's one of the sweet mysteries of life. We will continue to do our thing, and hope they will be able to give us a better game at some point
