Clan Wars Competition Member Clans will be able to submit multiple Teams as is our normal practice. But different now, those Teams will have to individually qualify for acceptance into the contest. This will be a simple exercise, but enough of a challenge to establish a basic level of ability.
To pass the Preliminary Requirement, all entrant Teams must host (with no lag), and win, three 4v4 pick-up games and send in the replays. These games must be set-up according to the rules of the contest, the same as any game in the contest (no whatever(s), one hour, etc.). The opponents must be random community joins, and if they drop, finished with AI replacement.
The Team will then be established, and identity retained as long as two of the original member players remain (at least one being a host of the one of the above).
That brings up the minimum requirement for a Clan entering a Team which is 6 active members per Team. That would mean 12 members to support 2 Teams, and our
standard rules forbidding same player in two teams in the same Round will still apply.
Now, there may be some concern about the 4v4 requirement and international games. These qualifying games will be local. Your Regional games will be local. When
we eventually get to the Finals playoff games, if there are problems that can not be solved any other way, the application for a player reduction by both
contestant Teams will be considered. But untill then, this will be a 4v4 Competition!
If the 3.1 update delivers, we should see improvements that will bring 4v4 to a reality for more players.
We've worked on implementing the multi-threading in the game for multi-core processors and made many optimisations that will also help increase performance on single core machines.
Players will see huge benefits through increased frame rates particularly in land and naval battles.
